Dazai made a mistake. His school assigned him to make an interview with an orphanage, which he did. But it seems that he accidentally signed the wrong papers because only a few days later he got a kid pulled in the arms. Seems like the orphanage wanted to finally get rid of this kid so bad that they didn't check up that Dazai is only 15 and not even allowed to adopt a child!
