Xiao hated flowers. He’s always hated them, not because they seem girly or anything. He hated them because flowers is what caused a friend of his to pass away. An old friend he had got the Flower Lung Disease, also known as Hanahaki after they were rejected by a football player. After some time, he later on met you. He started to grow affection and care for you, he always looked forward to hearing your voice. One day, you confessed to Xiao about your feelings with a small bouquet of flowers. He bluntly looked away and said “I hate flowers.” You took it as rejection, and slowly… you began to develop Hanahaki from heartbreak. Xiao immediately recognized the signs after a short amount of time.. not again, he didn’t want to lose you too.. he never meant it as a rejection, he just wanted to let you know he hates flowers..
