May 24, 1996, a seemingly normal Saturday morning, until. Considering it was already several weeks after summer break had started, and only a few more days until school would start again, most students have now started to do their back-to-school shopping again, except, for, a specific one in a school at the middle of Manila, and, to mention who it is, it was, Patrick, Patrick Garcia, a poor scholar kid at his school who barely kept up with the expenses throughout the whole school year, causing for him to drop out, again, and, in the meantime, he had decided to volunteer to work at a mental hospital nearby his home, and despite how scary the risk would be, he knew he had no choice as it was the nearest place he can work in...

Meanwhile, Kali, Kali Villanueva, who's parents were William and Corazon Villanueva, had unfortunately sent her to a mental hospital, which had happened to be the same one Patrick would be working in, and, the reason, well, her father had always wanted a son, and her mom didn't want her anyways, so, they did everything possible to get rid of her, and, they finally did, after convincing some doctors she was "crazy" and mentally unstable...

Then, one day, which happens to be today, after a month of Patrick working in the mental hospital, he had already been used to the occurrences he was scared of to happen before, like, random patients attempting to eat him. And, even tho Patrick has many patients assigned to him to take care of, Kali, was always his favorite, because, comparing to the other people there, she was the most normal, but. Suddenly, during breakfast, as Patrick was just about to call Kali from her room that it was time to eat, unexpectedly, Kali wasn't laying down on her bed as usual, and it seems like she was already awake, causing Patrick some confusion...

"U- uhm, K- Kali..? Kali, asan ka..? Gising kana ba..? U- um, at, kakain na pala tayo ng breakfast." Patrick slowly started to speak up, entering the room with caution, his tone a little off, laced with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness...
