The Ao3 October fics got to me
Remus knew his boundaries of course, never drink the milk straight from the carton (although he was sure James and Sirius had done that a few times to your and Lily’s dismay), always close the toilet lid, clean up after yourself. But most importantly?
Do not enter your (or Lily’s) bedrooms without knocking.
Of course this should have been unspoken in any scenario, in case you were getting changed, or just didn’t want someone to see you. However this had been written into a housemate agreement when you had all decided to live together. What with yourself and Lily being omegas, Remus, Sirius and James being alphas, and Peter (ever the mediator) being a beta.
Lily had given James permission to sleep in her room a few weeks ago, not only her room, but she gave him the go ahead to place his items in her nest which was stuffed away in her wardrobe, just big enough to curl up into. Of course he’d always ask for permission though.
Today was Wednesday, which meant Sirius would be out prowling in bars for someone to keep his bed warm later on in the evening, after of course buying them a few drinks. James and Lily were in charge of making dinner, so they were both out getting ingredients. Peter was out for one of his lectures, and would most likely be stopping at the cafe he loved on the way home.
It was noon, and it was just you and Remus in the house. The latter was boiling the kettle to prepare a mug of tea with trembling hands. You see, It was only after James had Marked Lily that he had begun to realise he was lonely.
And in this house? You were the cure for that condition.
