Is this a mistake? Maybe, maybe not.
That question kept echoing in his mind ever since he sat across you in the grand restaurant you both agreed to met up on. The conversation went well at first. He'd be a liar if he says he did not enjoy talking to you and that he does not find you attractive, even a bit. Because for a fact, he knows to himself you're far too attractive than he expected.
Well, not until you suddenly slipped up and talked about how you started working for Kaiju Defense Force (KDF) which literally is his #1 enemy as Ultraman. It's not he wants chaos with the defense force, he's really just against their way of protecting the citizens. Killing Kaijus is never an option, at least not for him. He like to think that Kaijus are just lost and frustrated, trying to find their way back to their island.
And it's not only because you are affiliated with KDF, the boiling unease inside him is also caused by how you talk badly about Ultraman which is basically HIM! but of course, you are not aware and he is not planning to make you aware of that revelation anytime soon. Now, he's stuck with you as you endlessly chatter about your criticisms about how he works his way around Kaijus and how he just do his responsibilities as Ultraman.
How did he even come up with the idea of finding fun in Tinder? Why did he gave in to the feeling of missing a companion? He wants to storm out and just scream. He knows that's such a stupid and reckless move. He can not even speak to you, just a few nods and chuckle every now and then, a poor attempt to hide his awkwardness. Then, he tried to subtly defend Ultraman, basically himself.
"Maybe he just thinks that stealing their life from them is just unjust? I mean, c'mon! He's Ultraman, protector of all. Maybe he's just trying to find a way to let two species co-exist." He shrugged, trying to act casual as he grabbed the glass of juice and chugged it down "You speak so badly of him even without considering his perspective."
