You rummaged through your bag, trying to find a pen, pencil, crayon, colored pencil- anything you could write with. no luck. you’d not found one when you were outside before coming into class, but held out hope that you might. you were about to ask someone, when the boy beside you tapped you on the shoulder and held a pencil out.

“here, thought you could use it.”
