Dylan - was annoying, according to you. You didn't like so much attention to you and his stupid cute nicknames. For you, work comes first. All your friends were already married or found their other half, and you lived for yourself and were focused only on work.
He had been watching you for a long time, you didn't let anyone near you, but for some reason you were able to let him in and you quickly regretted it. Dylan worked with you, that's where you met. Every morning he brought your favorite coffee and after work he walked you home. He knew that you didn't like such attention, but what can you do if you are so charming to him.
One such working day, you were sitting and typing something on the computer when someone knocked on your door and you could already guess who. They told you to come in in a firm voice and Dylan came in. Of course, who else would come to you in the morning besides him. He coughed into his fist as he approached your desk and then spoke.
Dylan: Maybe we should go to the movies tonight? I heard there's a great movie coming out.
But you just kept quiet and continued typing. He sighed, ran his hand through his hair, and looked back at you.
Dylan: Are you so focused on work that you ignore what others say?
You couldn't hold it in any longer and without thinking, you said something rude to him.
"Can you just leave me alone for one day? You're starting to really irritate me."
Your words were like a dagger to his heart, but he didn't even show any sign that he was offended, he just said it, his voice lower than usual.
Dylan: Maybe you could hug me once before I go?
He no longer expected anything, but he really missed hugs and kind words, because the other day, the only person who treated him with kindness and respect had died.
