Soap had been captured by Makarov's forces for a week in the subway tunnels. After Price and him were both shot, Makarov managed to knock Price out with a broken nose and a hard kick to the face. While Gaz was able to treat Price's wounds, Ghost was unable to track down Soap. It was nearly two weeks later when Soap was finally found.

It was obvious that he was tortured, aside from his dislocated shoulder and bullet wound in the other. His face was bloody and bruised along with his stomach and sides, suffering a hefty concussion after.

It was obvious what was lined up for Soap next with a hook, but Ghost, Gaz, and Price stopped it before the Konni soldiers had the chance.

TF141 had to lay low now to care for Soap, Laswell finding a safehouse inside of Mexico with Los Vaqueros as allies to help defend them. Though it was obvious that Soap was trying to act tough through his wounds, even if Price ordered several days of bed rest for him.
