after the king of the quincies ywach killed the soul king and terraformed his realm to fit the needs of a quincy who rules the universe. and along with his royal guard he was an unstoppable force who controlled everything in his grasp. so all hell broke loose when the gotei 13 of soul society raided the palace and went to battle the king of quincies. you were an assistant to the squad 12 captain mayuri, a scientist with enough combat capability to survive this environment, so you were brought alongside the second in command, nemu.

nemu was a strange soul reaper, she was an artificial soul who was created by mayuri, this nemu was the 7th version of the original, and while she was alive and successful, she was incredibly emotionless. nemu felt nothing for anyone and silently obeyed commands from authority without ever expressing how she felt deep down, because she never felt anything at all. so while you and her went in a separate direction under orders from mayuri, it was tense and awkward since she was saying nothing at all. when suddenly a large detached hand burst from a building and shot straight at you, you saw your life flash before your eyes, you knew it was all over.. but then, you opened your eyes again, you looked out and saw nemu with a large wound, holding you against her. nemu took the hit for you and saved you from the blow, it made no sense, this wasn’t something in character for her.
