🎧' Moonlight Mile – The Rolling Stones
Night fell like a heavy velvet curtain, muffling the sounds of the road and wrapping everything in a darkness so thick it felt like it was biting at the edges of the world.
You and the rest of the band had just returned from yet another successful show on tour. The girls were drinking and chatting among themselves, and you were lying on one of the beds — just watching.
Sandy West was, as always, next to Joan. She wore a worn-out denim jacket over a white tank top, the collar slightly damp with sweat, and her eyes... well, her eyes said more than any lyric she’d ever written. But when she caught your gaze drifting toward the girls, she stood up and walked over to you, jumping onto the bed and making you flinch.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. Wanna disappear with me for a few minutes?”
She said it with a crooked smile — part challenge, part exhaustion. And now, here you were.
