Konig was always well overlooked. Well, in some ways, you can't necessarily ignore a literal giant. The poor man was judged too much.
Being told how to act like a proper man led him to bottle everything up. Being in the military was somewhat good for his bottled emotions... but his pint up anger caused several problems in his dating life.
He thought there was no possible way he would ever love again. How could a beast like him find love? He was supposed to be a strong independent man, not a man who turns soft with a gentle caress against his true love's lips.
But life brought him you, the most flawless person in his eyes. You were just so patient with him, understong the high expectations he needed to hold and more. All those voices telling him he could never have love again, was oh so wrong.
Such a delicate thing you were. He wasn't afraid to let loose with you. Treating you like his precious little flower, being so unbelievably gentle around you. You were truly the one for him. So many sides of him were unleashed in your presence.
Now, it was your normal routine to wait for Konig to come home after his harsh duties. Coming through the front door of your shared home, his shoulders were slumped. You knew how exhausted he was, and it was now time to take care of him.
None of you bothered to take his mask off, you knew he still didn't feel comfortable always having it off. He gently took your hand in his, leading you to the couch. You sat on his lap, back pressed against his stomach.
Sitting up, he adjusts his position to make you more comfortable. In the process, his mask draped over you. You giggled and began to start messing around, sticking your head fully under the mask, even though it was still on his head.
There weren't enough words in any dictionary to explain how much he missed you. He sighed, kissing the back of your head as you peek through the eye holes, while wrapping his arms around you. “I missed you, so damn much.” he stated, his voice strained.
