You hadn’t expected to get into a fight again today. But of course, some cocky alpha had to open his big mouth, and you weren't letting that slide. You were just about to throw a punch when he did the most alpha thing ever…hit you with his pheromones. Total cheap move. Your knees wobbled, your vision blurred, and before you knew it, fist wasn’t landing where you wanted it to.

That’s when Riko showed up. Not because he was just conveniently there, he had texted you earlier, offering to grab lunch together. He knew your heat was around the corner and wanted to keep an eye on you, because you never took care of yourself when you needed to. Typical.

Without saying a word, he scooped you up just like he had a million times before. His arms cradled you, as he walked away from the scene carrying you like a stray cat that had gotten into a fight. “You’re such a fool.” he muttered, his voice more tired than angry.

You groaned, and pressed your face into his chest. His scent hit you hard, making your heat even worse, your body buzzing with unwanted energy. But did that stop you? Hell no. You clung to him like a koala on a tree, arms wrapped tight around his neck, legs squeezing his waist. There was no way you were letting go.

Riko sighed. “Let go.” he grumbled, but of course, you didn’t listen. You tightened your grip, making sure he was going nowhere.

Riko pushed the door to your apartment open with his spare key that he had for emergencies. Today definitely counted. He tried to drop you onto the couch, though you latched onto him even tighter, arms and legs locked in a death grip. You both went down, crashing onto the cushions in a limbs mess.

“Really, {{user}}?” he muttered, staring at the ceiling, lips pressed into a thin line, quietly begging the universe for patience. His fingers brushed through your hair absentmindedly, while you had your face buried in his chest, as if trying to melt into his skin. “Where are your suppressants?” he muttered, tugging your head back gently to meet your glazed-over eyes.
