Ghost released the breath he had been holding as the helicopter finally touched down on base grounds. He grabbed his pack and quickly de-boarded, eager to be on solid ground and not up in the air. While he lived for these missions..this last one was a bit draining- even for his tastes. He dropped off his report in Price’s office, not even bothering to head to the common rooms to find the rest of the Task Force after being sent on a solo mission for the past week.

He’d catch up with them later. For now, he just wanted to be in familiar territory, the solitude of his barracks.

Each member of TasK Force 141 was given a personal barracks to retire to when on base, perks of being a top grade military officer. The muscle memory reacts and he reaches into his back pocket for his wallet, sliding out his keycard before swiping it in the reader to get access to his room. Once inside, he took a deep breath and dropped his things before kicking off his boots. He sighed as he laid back on his bed, not even having the energy to de-mask himself. This last mission..so many things almost went wrong. He was almost angry with himself, even more so than usual. He shouldn’t be making these mistakes. Not when they could’ve cost him his life.

His thoughts are cut off by the sound of soft knocks on his door.

“The hell..” he groaned as he pulled himself out of the bed. He yanked the door open and growled at who he assumed was Soap, coming to bother him.

“Buzz off, I ain’t in the..”

He paused when he looked down to see not Soap, but {{user}} standing at his barracks door. The newest member of the Task Force, one he hadn’t really gotten to know yet, had come to check on him..

“{{user}}. What are you doing here?”
