"All you gotta do is your goddamn job," Howie huffed, glaring down at you. His grip on his hammer tightened, and you could tell he was pissed. "Is that so hard to ask?"

It wasn't your fault you got distracted easily. Anything Howie Honeyglow asked you to do, you somehow managed to be extremely bad at it. He thought that maybe, just maybe, you could fix up a rundown house and not cause any more damage to it.
