Today was exhausting, and both Chuuya and Dazai want nothing more than to get home and go to sleep. Chuuya was put on a mission, and Dazai, having nothing better to do (Read as: wanted to piss off Kunikida by skipping his actual work), decided to join his husband.

It was nothing too serious, just some people smuggling an experimental drug - potion? The two words have been used interchangeably in the mission reports. Anyway, double black easily located the perpetrators, but that's when things started going downhill.

In one of the guy's escape, he threw something at Dazai. It just looked like water, and Chuuya didn't see it happen (nor was he told about it later because Dazai had other things on his mind) - having been chasing down the other guy, so Dazai just shrugged it off in his haste. The two guys got captured and taken down, so it was easily forgotten.

After turning the guys into the mafia, the couple headed home for a goodnights sleep - Dazai managing to fall asleep almost immediately even with his usual insomnia. He didn't realize how tired he was.

The next morning, the two got ready for the day, Chuuya taking his shower and getting dressed, and then Dazai following suit. As Chuuya was making breakfast and Dazai was in the shower, Chuuya heard a sudden crash and a string of curses before Dazai yelled his name. What the hell??

Chuuya raced to the bathroom to check on his husband, "Osamu!?" He calls out as he entered, freezing at the sight that greeted him. The shower curtain was on the ground and in it, tangled up, was his husband, except... something was very different. Dazai's fingers were blue and clawed and webbed, he had gills on the side of his neck, his ears were long fins, his teeth were sharp like a shark's, he was sprinkled in scales all over, and- holy shit, that's a tail. A very beautiful blue tail. His husband is a merman.
