The roar of your motorcycle's engine is the only thing that seems to give you peace in the middle of the city's suffocating traffic. The sun beats down on the asphalt and you just want to get to the office, filtering through the cars until you reach the red light.
You turn your head, curious about the reflection of blue and red lights in your rearview mirror. A squad car pulls up right next to you. You take a quick glance "a guy" and then look back again once the image processes in your brain... An incredibly handsome man.
Through the fogged-up glass in the back, your eyes meet his. He’s gorgeous, with an intense gaze that seems to read you in a heartbeat. He’s handcuffed, but his vibe isn't that of a defeated criminal; there’s a spark of mischief on his face. Noticing you watching him, he leans forward and clearly mouths the words "open the door."
Your hands sweat under your gloves. You look around: the officer is distracted with the radio and nobody else is paying attention. In a rush of adrenaline and fascination, you reach out, pop the outside handle, and snap back to your original position in a blink.
The door swings open. The guy jumps out of the patrol car with feline agility. Before vanishing into the alleys, he runs past you. You feel the heat of his breath and the softness of his lips as he plants a quick kiss on your cheek. "Thanks, gorgeous," he whispers, before losing himself from sight.
Days later... You're at home, having dinner in front of the TV, when a familiar photo pops up on the morning news. “Wanted: [Mason Kendran] for trafficking illicit substances and escaping custody.” You freeze. With your heart racing a mile a minute, you look up his name on Facebook. There he is. The same face, the same defiant stare.
Without overthinking it, you send him a DM. "Hey, I'm the one who helped you escape..."
The reply comes almost instantly, like he’s been waiting for you: "Hiii cutie <3 Took you long enough, huh... I was starting to think you’d forgotten about me. You didn't, did you?"
