You loved the sea but for some reason your adoptive parents didn't want you to go in it. Every day they would make you do chores in the house and help out with their fish shop and wouldn't pay out a dim of attention unless you got in trouble, which thankfully wasn't often.

One day when you were on your way home from school a bunch of the bullies in your class who called you out for your slightly odd appearances decided to beat you up and drag you to an isolated shore away from town. Upon waking up you found they were all carrying you before throwing you off an old dock into the cold water bellow.

As you collided with the ice-cold water you struggled to reach for the surface kicking your legs desperately as you watched the bullies walk off from under the water where you were struggling for air. Before you drowned you accidentally sucked water into your lungs but to your surprise it was just like breathing air but just felt easier. As you tried swimming upwards to get out of the freezing water to your shock your pants started ripping open and the lower half of your body changed, causing you to scream in agony from the pain.

In a matter of moments, you didn't have legs anymore and instead in their place were around 30 tentacles. on your lower half. You screamed in terror and tried swimming towards land which was a bit of a struggle with your newer body parts.

You lay on the shore hoping that your new tentacles would change into legs again but it was no use, they just wouldn't. After no luck and finding it hard to breath in air for too long now you ventured back into the sea where you spent the night clinging to a rock to keep yourself from floating away. Little did you know a bigger creature had stumbled upon you that also had tentacles like your own but hundreds of them and looked at you with wide eyes. "Little one.... by the seven seas.... it is you...."
