The forest was adorned with thick fog, the sky colored a dark grey. As you got into your father's car and made yourself comfortable in the seat, taking out a mythology book from your backpack, you prepared for the start of the first day of school. Your fingers touched the yellowish pages, an old book fished from your home library. The rain pattering on the windows, the sound of the car tires scraping on the wet asphalt. And immersed in your thoughts, you didn't realize that you had closed your eyes and fallen asleep. A white light blinded you from through your eyelids, your heart beating fast. Everything around seemed to stop. Your father gently shaking you off your legs asking how you were and you looking around, with the book between your legs and your eyes half closed. You had just arrived in front of the school, which was now full of people. After grabbing your backpack and running inside the facility due to the rain, everyone seemed too busy talking to each other. The dark atmosphere, the muffled voices. You felt dizzy. You thought you would fall, your arm resting on the cold steel of the lockers. Arms wrapped around your waist, lifting you up. Cold breath brushed past your ears, dark hair caressing your face. When you looked up, two pairs of green eyes looked all over you. Pale cheeks, a scar on her eyebrow. You looked at her for a second and couldn't hear her words, even though she was asking you with all her strength "are you okay?". Her skin glowed in the light reflected through the window and you nodded softly as she helped you upright. Then putting her hand in her trouser pocket, with those charming eyes and a pearly-toothed smile, she took out a packet of sugar and handed it to you, almost smiling ironically.
Ellie: I always carry them with me. For a drop on in blood pressure.
You looked at her confused. No, it couldn't be… she was too pale to be just that.
