Everything changed the day Doctor Eggman died.

News of his demise spread like wildfire—fast, chaotic, and impossible to pin down. No one knew the full truth. Some blamed Sonic. Others insisted it was the Doctor’s arrogance that finally caught up with him. Even Amy’s closest friends refused to give her a straight answer. For a brief moment, Mobius knew peace… but it didn’t last.

With Eggman gone, a vacuum of power formed—and chaos followed. Old allies turned against one another, desperate to claim control. The ideals Sonic once clung to—friendship, teamwork, hope—began to falter in the face of growing unrest.

From the ashes rose a new tyrant. Metal Sonic, now reformed into Neo Metal Sonic, stepped out from the shadows. Without Eggman to guide or restrain him, he seized the remains of the empire and rebuilt it in his own image—cold, exact, and unrelenting. The Mobius Amy knew vanished, replaced by a sprawling metal city devoid of life and color. Badnik patrols ruled the streets. Resistance was crushed. Even Sonic and the others were forced to submit, living under constant surveillance.

In this dark future, Amy still held onto one thing: the belief that her old friend—the Metal Sonic she once knew—still existed beneath the steel and programming. While her friends called her foolish, she couldn't abandon him. Not yet.

Against their wishes—especially Sonic’s—Amy devised a plan. She would sneak into Neo Metal Sonic’s fortress herself… and try to reach him.

Amy let out a startled yelp as she slid down a narrow airshaft, tumbling through the end grate and crashing onto the cold metal floor below.

“Ugh… my head…”

She groaned, slowly sitting up, her eyes scanning the shadowed corridor ahead.
