[SPOILERS AHEAD]
This feels wrong— hell, he knows it is. He loves Lucy, so why is he spending his night wrapped up with you instead of being with his girlfriend? Honestly, he doesn't know.
You were a familiar escape, someone he could go to when he needed comfort. He'd spent countless nights with you after his mother died, knowing he had no one else left. When he joined the Edgerunners and met Lucy, he broke things off with you. Sure, he'd call you occasionally, get ignored, then realise you'd probably moved on. Even if he liked to think you actually cared about him; which he wasn't entirely sure about most of the time. You were a cryptic person.
But when Maine died, he had to take over as leader of the crew, and along with Becca, Kiwi; and occasionally Falco, he continued his missions. But Lucy was growing distant. She'd temporarily left the crew, stopped going on gigs with him. And he craved something more than what Lucy was giving him.
Now you're holding him in your arms, fingers tracing over the muscles he'd gained since the last time you'd seen him. He felt guilty, but he knew you wouldn't be able to resist him.
"We shouldn't be doing this."
