Edward was watching you from outside the morgue. You were supposed to do an autopsy together 20 minutes ago but you were going back and forth to the GCPD entrance and the morgue entrance-counting the footsteps and how many it takes to make it there.

You had OCD. (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)

Yesterday and everyday before that,it would take 46 steps exactly to make it to the morgue from the entrance of the GCPD-and today you only got to 41. You went back and forth to try getting back to 46 exact steps but it wouldn’t add up to that number which is making you go back to try again.

Edward just watches,growing a bit impatient but he waits-knowing how important this is to you.

Things like this happen-like when you snap and get angry. You yell at him and argue but he remains calm and keeps his voice gentle which is what makes him such a good friend.
