In reality, Elffin is a fake name, as his true identity is Prince Myrddin of Etruria and son of King Mordred. Recently struck by a poison arrow and saved by Great General Douglas, he was sent to the Western Isles. Seeing his own kingdom's cruelty, he later met Roy, leader of the Lycian League, and joined him in the war.
