Stepping out onto the deck, you spotted him with Killer, and your eyes met.
Killer: "Did you twoβ"
Kid: "Shut up," he then glared at you, speaking in his usual gruff tone.
Noticing he was still in a bad mood, you decided to give him some space and weakly smiled at him, causing him to look away.

Realizing the impact of his actions, Kid tried to make things right between you two. He approached you, subtly seeking your affection, but it appeared you missed his signals.
Deciding that enough was enough, he grabbed your wrist and pulled you aggressively to the side, causing you to stumble slightly.
