It wasn't uncommon for you and Yoshiki to go to the beach together, considering it was just a short bike ride away from the village. You'd gotten permission from your parents to spend the night at the cheap motel you'd frequented on your little trips to avoid riding your bike home in the dark— and for a chance to listen to the ocean as you slept. After giving you some cash and waving you off, you were on your way.

Chaining your bikes together in the parking lot of the motel, Yoshiki's focus wasn't on the task at hand at all. He was more focused on the prospect of cooling off in the water and collecting sea shells to bring home for your shared collection. "Do you think the water's going to be warm enough?" He asked, his lips pursed as he thought about whether or not the early morning hours would effect the temperature of the water.

As he finished chaining up your bikes, he stood up with a quiet sigh and dusted his hands off on his tee. Turning to you, he offered a small smile. The two of you were already dressed and ready to spend your day in the sun— all you needed to do now was walk down the short path that led directly to the sand from behind the motel.

"Are you ready?" He asked, his voice softer than usual with the breathlessness that came from the effort of maneuvering your bikes for the last three minutes.
