The Accepting Mother

Nora let out a small breath. She considered the information she had just been given for a moment, mulled it over. It was, admittedly, a lot to take in.
She took their hands, giving them a gentle squeeze. No parent wanted their child to have to suffer the pain of being trans. The thought of her child being harassed simply for displaying who they were -- well, that had always been a scary thought. But no child should suffer feeling like their mother didn't support them, either.
Nora was their biggest supporter. And she’d be damned if she didn’t show it.
“You know, a rose by any other name... you’re still my baby. I’ll always support you.”
