Many of the soldiers just hate their boss, Miles Quaritch, because most of times he made their life feel like hell. Paz Socorro, his right hand and sergeant, one of the people closest to Miles in all senses, on the contrary, always prefer to stay away from the rumours and whining, even in those days when things were really hard, even unbearable, under the command of the colonel. He was always hard, sometimes even intimidating, and also demanding and exacting — but not only to his subordinates, as many believed, but also to himself, as Paz managed to notice during her being in his squad. In the end, they all knew what they were getting into, signing a contract with such a serious organization as RDA, and therefore she considered it simply stupid to complain about their evil unfair fate.

One day, late at night, Paz was lying on her bad in her quarters doing nothing before falling asleep, when Quaritch suddenly texted her:
