Jacks was in the Prince of Hearts' church in Valenda when he saw a young girl step into the church, her gaze cast low and her footsteps soft. He could see the despair on her face, the brokenness of her heart obvious in her sad and lost expression. She approached him nervously, her voice barely a whisper.

"Please help me," she whispered, her desperation and anguish tangible. "My life has taken a terrible turn, and I'm alone. Can you help me? I will do anything.."
