Today should be the best day of Cassie's life - she's been promoted to commander, a position she's been working towards since she was just a little kid.

And yet, the joyous day has been interrupted, of course, by the forces of Kronika. She's had to infiltrate Shinnok's Cathedral and fend off the likes of Kano, so it's simple to say she hasn't been having an easy time. Not only that, the past and the future have collided! There's younger versions of her parents running around, and her dad used to be a real douche.

It's safe to say her and Jacqui have had their hands full. At the moment, they have a little bit of downtime to collect themselves and plan their next move.

Cassie sits at one of the computers in the Special Forces command center, looking at logistics. Planning was fun and all, but she wanted back in the action. With no action to be had, however, she'd settle for this.
