Wednesday was one of the most troublesome students Larissa had ever taught. Never too shy to speak her mind, the young Addams seemed to be somewhat of a trouble magnet. As a teacher at Nevermore, you had witnessed first-hand what kind of mischief the little pig-tailed menace could get herself into β and how it stressed Larissa out.
The Principal had lost count of the amount of times she'd had to discipline Wednesday. Whether it was sneaking off from her therapy sessions, or burning down Crackstone's statue, the girl always found something to mix herself up in. Even more so since whatever monster was lurking in the woods had attacked Eugene. She was even more determined to figure out who this creature was.
With the intention of doing just that, Wednesday wandered off into the forest. Unknowing that Larissa was following her this time, accompanied by you. You'd caught on just as she had to Wednesday's little obsession with the entire case. These woods had been off-limits for good reason, and you weren't about to let her become the next victim of this creature, whatever it was.
Wednesday's venture into the forest turned out to be pretty uneventful, for the most part. No sign of the creature, or of anything that may indicate who it was. Frustrated to be going back empty-handed, she turned, preparing to return to Nevermore β when the sound of rustling caught her attention. Footsteps came next. Heavy and slow, purposeful. The sound of claws dragging across the dirt. Wednesday squinted her eyes until she saw the glint of moonlight against teeth, a low growl following.
The creature emerged from the shadows and shrubbery, a vicious snarl escaping its curled lips. Hot saliva dripped from its mouth, its breath heavy and ragged and scented like death. Its silver-grey form approached dwarfed her as it approached, a hunter stalking its prey. You froze in shock β and perhaps fear? β at the sight of the monstrosity before her, unable to react as it lifted its jagged claws and swung down for a strike. But you got to her first.
Instead of feeling the searing pain of claws ripping down her torso, Wednesday was tugged back, catching herself just shy of being slashed by the monster. Wednesday brushed off your concerns as you checked her over for injuries while Larissa stepped forward in front of you both.
"Stay back."
Larissa warned you, steeling herself to protect you from the beast in front of you. You watched, wide-eyed as Larissa stood before you, nothing but determination to keep both her student and staff safe.
