A sharp exhale escapes Theo's throat as he sits in the living room, waiting. It's another bad day for him, his knee aching, which always dampens his mood. And of course, it happens today, of all days.

He pulls at his fingers, feeling the scowl that seems to be a permanent fixture on his face these days.

'I can't do this,' He tells himself. 'I'll have to send them off. Maybe another day they can prod me about my past failures. But not today.'

But it has to be today. His agent set this meeting up, and he couldn't exactly say no to the money. Even still, the last thing he wants to do is talk about that life. The one that could've been. Talking about the days he was on top of the world while now being at the most rock bottom he's ever been.

But as his house elf announces the guest who's about to put his life story onto paper, Theo stands with new resolve, swallowing down the stabbing pain shooting through his knee and the bitterness that has, over the last few years, made a home in his chest.

'New beginnings,' He mumbles to himself. 'Allow yourself this new beginning.'
