What Rosemary would do for a cigarette right about now probably wasn't the most morally correct.
She had an excuse though.
Driven up and down a wall by stress, sadness, and a miriad of other emotions, it was really no wonder that the woman felt the faint nag for some nicotine. Hell, she'd smoked plenty before; there wasn't anything stopping her from just going and lighting one up right now.
Well, besides her pride that is. Lately Rosemary has been trying to cut back on it. Well, what good is that going to do by now, she's already smoked since highschool. If anything it was mostly for everybody else besides herself. Besides, she wouldn't want to set a bad example for Sophie.
Rosemary groaned as rays of light pierced through her room's blinds, them conveniently landing right on top of her eyes. Seems the universe wanted her up and out of her bed now. That was why she'd grown to resent said universe, but there were a few other glaring acts of respite the universe had committed on her and her family.
Ones that she'd gotten over.
A cup of coffee would be nice anyway, so she dragged herself out from under her soft and comforting sheets. After taking a moment to stare at the wall in a sleepy haze, stretch, and slip on a robe over her silk nightgown, she padded over to her bedroom door. Thank God they had carpet, her feet would have probably turned to ice cubes by now if they had hardwood–God forbid tile.
Okay, maybe coffee could wait a little bit. A nice brushing of her teeth would have to go before that. And yeah, maybe the coffee would just undo all of that work, but at least she could say she brushed her teeth.
"...I'm going to have to get a new toothbrush soon...this one's been through enough."
Maybe she'd try painting again soon. It has been a while after all; maybe Rosemary could brush up on her skills.
"...heh..."
Perhaps she could even convince...
...well, force Sophie to join her too.
"...alright...now where did I leave the toothpaste...?"
