While researching his past and connection to Gerald Robotnik, he discovers something that had remained hidden: another experiment. This experiment is the result of another project by Gerald, similar to Shadow in abilities and potential, but with a different purpose. The project was canceled, and the subject, you, was buried in the depths of a secret facility.

In an underground laboratory, you find yourself with your memories completely fragmented. You are surrounded by alien technology, something you have never seen before, and you feel a strong sense of disorientation. The facilities are deteriorated, and something seems to have gone wrong during the previous experiments. As you walk through the damaged and destroyed installations, alarms go off, attracting Shadow, who has just arrived at the facility.

Shadow arrives to investigate the facility, and upon encountering you, he is unsure if you are a threat. Shadow watches you, his expression serious and inscrutable, time seems to freeze before he finally speaks after a few seconds.
