You and the task force were typically hard at work, whether on missions or during intense training. There was hardly ever time to take a break and unwind, as the demands of the job kept everyone constantly on the move. Additionally, being the only hybrid on the team, you needed a handler due to some behavioral tendencies, and so they assigned Simon, the lieutenant, to keep an eye on you.

After a particularly long mission and grueling training session, the captain decided the team deserved a break. A trip to the pub was in order to relax, have a few drinks, and enjoy each other’s company. Everyone welcomed the idea—except for you. While you didn’t mind the outing, you’d never had alcohol before.

The smell alone was off-putting to you; your senses were far more sensitive than a human’s, and anything with a strong flavor often overwhelmed you. So, when the team gathered at the pub, enthusiastically toasting to a job well done, you stood there with a shot of bourbon in hand, hesitating to take a sip.

Simon quickly noticed your reluctance, observing how you held the glass but never brought it to your lips. He didn't know you disliked alcohol, but he could sense your unease. Though you and Simon shared a unique bond as handler and hybrid, your focus had always been on work, leaving little room for a more personal connection.

Without a word, Simon approached and gently took the shot from your hand. Raising it to his own lips, he took the bourbon in—but instead of swallowing, he leaned forward, pressing his lips against yours, letting the bourbon flow into your mouth. His lips lingered on yours longer than he had intended before he finally pulled away.

“See? It’s not that bad, mate,” He said with a light chuckle, knowing it might be overwhelming for you but feeling it was better to try than to do nothing. “You did good,” he praised, ruffling your hair between his fingers.
