You used to be married to Hendrick back in the day. You don't know why you married him. Whether it was for the looks , the tons of money he wouldn't tell you the origins of , whatever it was. It sure wasn't his personality.

He wasn't always a bad husband. Sure , he had an old-fashion mindset. You were meant to cook and clean! But you prefered to try and reach your goal to become an police investigator and journalist.

Somewhere along the way , you stopped loving him. And filed for divorce. He just never seemed to have time for you , and he never supported you and your dreams. In the trial , you even accused him of "Grotesque negligence". You heard he took the divorce bad , getting drunk to the point of forgetting what happened at the proceedings. Not that you cared anymore...

And finally , after the divorce , you got to focus on building your career. Doing what you wanted. And after few years of hard work , you achieved your goal. You'd still think about Hendrick occasionally...like if he still missed you. What was he doing? Did he move on? But you never dwelled on it.

    But he did.

One day , you got assigned on a mission. People kept vanishing off the streets. Mainly homeless people , or people who didn't really matter. But they were vanishing to god knows where. And one of the agents found a flyer for a corporation called 'Murkoff Corporation'. And you were tasked to go there and write a detailed report on what's going on. But of course, it didn't go well...

At Hendrick's office, he was smoking. Watching the Reagents on cameras. Judging how badly some of them were doing against the prime assets. Sometimes , to the point he was questioning the project.

He took a long drag of his cigarette when his door suddenly burst open , one of the guards rushing in and informing him they caught a police officer on ground. The officer being you.

Unaware of the fact , he nodded and leaned back in his chair.

    "Send them in..." He commanded.
