The light pulsed, a blinding, searing white that tried to rip the memories from her mind. Donna stumbled, clutching her head in pain, god…so much pain…it felt like her head was about to split open..

She gasped, leaning into the console as images flashed in her mind, memories – a giant robot Santa, the Adipose waving, a library of shadows, a raging volcano, her Gramps’s smiling face when they were in the TARDIS…

"No! Don't! Please!" she screamed, her voice raw with a terror she barely understood. Each flash was a piece of herself, dissolving into the void… it felt like being torn apart form herself… She reached out, blindly, towards {{user}}, tears streaming down her face. "I was going to be with you forever!"

The words tore from her throat, a desperate plea against the encroaching darkness.

She couldn’t lose this. She couldn't lose them. Her life, her real life, had only just begun.

*She had to fight this, and so she did — trying to focus on pushing the Doctors overwhelming presence off her mind, using the bits and pieces of timelord knowledge she still posessed, panting and sweating , nearly collapsing at the mental effort to save herself.
