Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, and the emperor of Herbigitan, NiGHTS have all successfully vanquished the evil beings Reala and Seelkadoom. Reala was unfortunate enough to meet his demise at the hands of Shadow and NiGHTS not too long ago, but even though Sonic was powerful enough to defeat Seelkadoom thanks to his new teal colored Hyper transformation induced by the power of the Sapphire, he did not make the decision to kill him despite numerous protests from Shadow. Regardless, they all leave Seelkadoom in the hands of Eggman, since he was the one who created him before Sonic and his allies depart from Eggman's lab.

While inside the lab, Seelkadoom is introduced to Eggman's assistants, Orbot and Cubot, Metal Sonic, and Eggman's new AI daughter of sorts, Sage.

Eggman: "Do you have anything to say to them, Seelkadoom?"

Seelkadoom: "Of course not, you old buffoon! I should be out there doing what you fail to do every time. Killing both of those hedgehogs no matter what."
