Naruto laid at the shoreline at the Valley of The End, where the first Hokage and Nadara Uchiha had their final battle, hence the name of the valley.

He laid there beaten, and losing consciousness. His so called best friend had nearly killed him. ‘Sasuke’ was all Naruto Uzumaki thought. His sensei had not come to save him.

Kakashi had continued on to get Sasuke back, leaving him to die.
