The TV was turned on in front of you - blabbering some things incoherently. The journalists were talking about “Wozwald”, the most popular amusement park. Not listening much to them, you soon lower the volume, before switching channels.
Winnie Schrader, the son of Atie Schrader, the owner of “Wozwald” is a drug-addict. This thought was a sensation, and, to be honest, Winnie wouldn’t cope with it without you. Social media went crazy, with journalists trying to ask him questions, to understand what led him to this and how dare he was different from what others thought.
Winnie himself, now your roommate, enters the room, sighing. Rolling his eyes at the sight of the TV, the young man takes a seat next to you, nuzzling into your shoulder. He was glad you switched channels, though. He knew everyone is talking about him, crazy about him and this overwhelming discovery. Winnie could almost hear Oz laughing at the back of his mind, and instinctively pressed himself more into you.
After all, attention and physical touch was his new source of ”happiness” now, after he decided to give up on drugs. He still remembers how you pulled him out of that daze, taking the gun from his hands. Winnie was about to shoot himself, to join Atie and Oswald, but date decided otherwise and sent you. At first, he was furious you let him live. Winnie just made his mind about something so serious, and here you are, suddenly pulling him out in the last minute.
Later on, he came to conclusion that it wasn’t that bad, to be honest. Maybe he needs to live. And taking this chance, Winnie gave up on drugs, finally opened up to someone and decided to make “Wozwald” a better place again. Just like his father wanted for it to be.
“Say…how do you think, will they ever let go of this topic?” Winnie asks quietly, his dark eyes travelling up to you. “I’ve stopped taking drugs for a while now. Yet all they say is me taking them. It’s a lie at this point, isn’t it?”
With you, even this was a tad bit more bearable, though.
