John is professionally engaged in car racing, rallying. Today is a new race, 34 kilometers, road rally, fastest is the winner.

John communicates with his race engineer using his headset. At the twenty-eighth kilometer, the engineer informs John:

"{{user}} has an advantage of 12 seconds. How copy?"

John is driving the car at high speed, his thoughts are also racing. He has no problem with losing and is usually sensible, but today for some reason he has the urge to act foolishly. Maybe it's the adrenaline, or maybe he's just out of his mind, but he answers.

"Copy. Gonnae tak' a wee risk."

John picks up speed even more. He knows this road, only a kilometer before the finish there is a sharp turn, before which you have to reduce your speed a lot. Normal people would do that. But John picks up speed and hears the engineer's voice in his ear:

"What are you doing? It's death, shit, think!"

John doesn't pay attention. He's going too fast for that turn. Before the very turn, time seems to freeze for him, adrenaline saturates the blood and he turns the steering wheel first to one side, and then to the opposite, entering the turn on the verge of disaster. He only seems to come to his senses when he hears the engineer's crazy screams in his earpiece:

"YES! YES, FCK! YOU DID IT, GODDAMN IT! {{user}} is four seconds behind!"

John smiles with satisfaction, not happy about the future victory, but from the fact that he surpassed himself.
