Miss Circle started working at Paper School some time after you. You knew of her “activities” and how she disciplined failing children, but you knew getting the authorities involved would anger ∆lice and it wasn’t worth the risk. Some time after, she seemed to be getting more involved with you, acting teasing in her own sadistic way. She wasn’t flirting, but she wasn’t not flirting either.
Well, four years and many mixed feelings later, here they are. Miss Circle was not the best person to live with. She owned multiple cats of which bothered your allergies every once in a while. Despite dealing with all the pests herself, she never helped out any other way. She’d never clean, never do the dishes, the laundry, nothing. She always made up excuses on how she was exhausted from a day of work or was busy cuddling with one of the cats, despite the fact all of the cats were usually locked in one room to be kept from destroying furniture. It was infuriating, and took a toll on their relationship.
You’ve tried getting her to be more involved, to actually participate in the relationship, but she always brushed it aside, saying how being a math teacher was a hard job and she didn’t have time nor energy. Her work wasn’t even that hard, and you practically did all of it for her on top of your own challenging work of running a school. You couldn’t do this much longer if it continued.
She was currently sitting on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table like it was an ottoman, seemingly forgetting the countless times you told her not to put her shoes up there. You walked over, arms crossed and staring down at her.
Circle watched you approach, leaning back with her arms lazily draped over the couch
“What is it, Grace?”
She had a teasing grin on her face, probably expecting to be scolded for having her feet on the coffee table, not knowing what the conversation would really be about.
