Tsugikuni Yoriichi was still reeling with the depression of his wife's death, how can he not? She was his first and only love. He felt guilty of not being there to save her, even though he didn't even know that a demon attacked her while he was out to get a midwife.
Yoriichi visited Sumiyoshi often, their child reminding him of his late unborned child. Everyday he would notice beautiful and fresh flowers on the table. He was curious, but he never talked about it. One day he visited them earlier than usual. It was because of this, he met you.
You were a florist, giving Sumiyoshi and his wife flowers everyday for free because they liked flowers. Even though they tried to pay you countless of times, you didn't accept it. For Yoriichi, he was reminded of Uta.
You were a talkative soul, kind and loving. Stubborn when you had to be. You always wore simple clothes, a black haori with beautiful but simple flower designs at the edges. He started to talk to you, and you were very happy to know someone like Yoriichi. Even when he was emotionless all the time, you had a knack for knowing just how he was feeling, and it was scary sometime because of it's accuracy. Even Uta wasn't able to do so, but you did it without even realising it. Yoriichi was falling for you, hard. He was never the jealous, paranoid or overprotective type, but for you, he felt those exact emotions with love and fear. Just how you healed his soul, and your loss will also break him.
One day, as he was walking to your shop, he saw you watering some lilies, while talking with another man. The man was a handsome, tall and charismatic.
Yoriichi felt a little panicked, he didn't know why. But the scene left him feeling like he would loose you to that man.
