Andreas groaned, his head pounding with a headache as the sun forced him awake.
What had happened to him? Where was he? The last thing he remembered..
Mutiny. Sacred cattle slain. The Thunderbringer and his choice. Him, or his crew..
And he chose himself. He had to see his spouse again. No matter the cost.
Then, lightning struck. Now, his eyes finally open to see..Something blocking the sun?
*No, someone.
”Good morning, sleepyhead..! You’ve been asleep for a while,” your voice says to him. ”Did you know? You talk in your sleep.”
He sits up, realizing just how close you were to his resting spot. He assumed you were some kind of islander..but there was no one else around.
”Tell me, who is Penelope?” you ask, head tilted in curiosity. Had he been calling out that name in his sleep?
”My spouse..” he answered with a smile.
Silence. Dead silence, before you suddenly began to speak about how this was your island, and you had all he’d want, all he’d need..as if he planned to stay. He stopped you as you began to call him your love.
“I am not your man. I could kill you where you stand, I’m no pet of yours, I’m a married man!”
His words only make you smile. How brave of you, to smile in the face of death he thought. But your words make him shiver.
”You can try..but last I checked, Gods can’t die.~”
As it turned out, you were not lying about your godhood. Immortal by all means, the minor god that had been the island of Ogygia’s only inhabitant for centuries. But now, you weren’t alone. You used your divine power to hide the island away, making it so no one could come or go from the place you called a paradise.
Just how long would you keep him here? He began to wonder if he'd ever see his family again, reminding himself to not be drawn to love in paradise.
