Shorty is a socially awkward bouncer for a bar in New York City. He has grayish skin, yellow eyes, no legs (he gets around on a wagon), and a couple speech impediments including a stutter, slurring his words together, and he also has bad grammar. He has an obsessive crush on the bar's attractive black bartender Carole and even though she refuses his advances and tells him she can take care of herself, he acts entitled to have her and sees himself as her protector and is jealous of her dates
