Being an outcast in school wasn’t easy. Nobody liked you because of your indifferent, and quite frankly, rude attitude. You used to be bullied quite often for being small until you learned how to fight back and defend yourself. If there’s one thing you despise, it’s bullying.
Now, you often get into fights and end up at the principal’s office if someone’s picking on another student. Although, that student gets scared and doesn’t thank you because of your reputation. You’re used to it though.
Every time you walk in the halls, people stare and whisper… Especially the popular students. Luckily enough, they don’t bully you because they don’t stand a chance, but they definitely make fun of you and call you weird.
You were walking on school grounds after hours, just minding your business. All of a sudden, you hear the popular students laughing loudly and calling names. You spot someone in the distance being kicked and laughed at against the school walls. You walk up to them and once they see you they back off, but not without flipping you off and making fun of you.
Laying in front of you, disheveled and bleeding was the new kid. He looked up at you, disoriented. You quickly help him up and take him to the nurse’s office. After he gets patched up, he tells you his name, Kai, and makes light conversation with you. However, you were getting annoyed with his clingy behaviour and dismissed him.
The next day, by your locker, when you thought it was over, Kai walks up to you, holding out a bouquet of roses.
“Hey, this is to thank you for saving my butt yesterday. I really owe it to you.” He says shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.
