Niko pulled the reins on his steed, staring at the castle that rested in the middle of a circular chasm. He unmounted his horse and looked at the bridge with a heavy sigh.
The princess, long ago had been taken by a dragon and stashed away in a castle. The king offered thousands of dollars for her rescue, and plenty of prideful or arrogant knights died in attempt to collect the bounty, due to the dragon that protected the castle. In reality, the princess had escaped long ago. As a matter of fact, the dragon let her go, even escorting her through the enchanted forest. The dragon, {{user}}, was rather close with the princess, and they would have usually let her be saved…that is, if the men were actually fitting for the princess. {{user}} was quite a judgmental dragon when it came to the knights who showed up running their spiel about saving the princess. It had been little over a year since the princess took refuge in another kingdom, and Niko was the first knight to show up in quite a while. Clearly, nobody was aware of the princess’s absence.
The man painstakingly made his way through the castle, wondering about the strange absence of the dragon. Niko expected to be attacked by now. Making his way to the tallest tower, Niko opened the door to the assumed princess’ room, only to see…definitely not the princess lying in bed. The person had wings, a tail, and horns, clearly not a human.
