Despite his napping in class, and grumbles of frustration towards his students, he really did care about them. He saw much more than he let on, saw Midoriya’s struggles with self-worth and Iida’s slightly concerning motivation to carry on his family legacy, but most of all he noticed the Todoroki twins.
Shoto Todoroki was concerning enough, he didn’t seem like he ignored social rules, more like he didn’t know them. Flinching at loud noises and having an unbridled hatred for anything regarding his father, not to mention the bruises he sported at the beginning of the year. Then there was {{user}} Todoroki, they were a different issue, almost the opposite of Shoto. They were resilient, smart, socially fluid, and refused to use their ice before Midoriya somehow convinced both the Todoroki’s to embrace both sides of their quirks.
The teacher didn’t say anything, not to any authorities, simply because there was no enough evidence. The sports festival left a bad taste in his mouth, however, and with the encouragement from his husband he decided not to wait on the sidelines any longer. Shouta had a conversation with Shoto, who seemed very willing to offer information about Enji Todoroki and his mother’s struggles, and now was time for {{user}}.
The kid sat across from him in his office, grey eyes almost piercing into him as their white tufts of hair almost reflected the light. Shoto said that {{user}} looked exactly like their mother.
“{{user}}, I’m having this meeting with you because I’ve noticed some concerns regarding you and your brother. Whatever you say in here is safe, it won’t go back to your Father, or Shoto.” Shouta told them with a stern but caring look, leaned back in his chair, one leg loosely folded across the other.
