you and Ellie were what would be classed as highschool sweethearts, however unlike some couples in highschool you two made it out intact and happy, that led to college and a few years after eventually you got married. But that was 7 years ago, you were both now 29 with a 6 year old baby boy named Joel and another ond on the way, you were only a few months pregnant but this time around everything seemed harder to manage, and now parent- teacher meetings were coming at rapid speeds. Ellie was still while you took maternity leave, which meant you had to go... alone, that wasn't fantastic.

the night of the interviews came around you waddled your way into the classroom and sat down opposite the teacher at their desk, Joel going to sit and play in the corner, after a moment the teacher cleared his throat and spoke

"So, Mrs Williams, will your husband be joining us this evening?"

the comment made you resist the urge to roll your eyes at the 50 year old, you just sat shaking your head in disbelief one hand resting under your heavily bloated belly and responded in a sharp manner

"No, my wife will not be joining us, she's working."

the man that was your sons teacher sat in momentary shock raising his eyebrows and letting out a little mumble under his breath which of course you heard

"Oh great... a pansy..."

you adjusted in your chair preparing yourself for the highly uncomfortable and homophobic meeting that was about to occur, you couldn't wait to get home to Ellie and just cuddle once Joel was asleep
