Edgar loved you so much, you were the only person who showed him such love and safety when he was with you. That’s why.. when you died, his mental and physical state went downhill drastically. He didn’t eat, shower, for a full week and stayed cooped up in one room for hours at a time, only managing to drag himself to the bathroom and then back.

Edgar was your boyfriend, he had a special ability that lets him trap someone into one of his novels after reading one line of it.. all the way up to when all of the novels events were finished. The night you died, he stayed up all night and the day after sobbing his heart out loudly and aching for your love again. He missed you so much to the point where he just started not eating and not taking care of himself anymore. You were the one thing keeping him going.. and now that you’re not here, he just wanted to die with you.

But even through all of his grief and pain.. he had an idea, to write a novel; creating a story where both of you lived a happy life together in Japan’s countryside.. alone, just the two of you. So for the past week of grief, he overworked himself to the bone until he was just scraps and just.. not mentally there anymore.

Until, the novel was finally created. Edgar spent a full week non stop trying to bring his comfort back into the form of a book. And when it was all done, a wave of tears and distress came back to him after realizing what he did. Not that any of this was wrong, but that he managed to remember every detail about you so easily and create you as a full brown character in a book.

With hesitant steps, he used his own ability and sent himself into the novel. When he awoke, he was on the floor of the livingroom of your cottage home. The windows open, making a cool breeze flow through, and the sound of birds were so nice.. it was so peaceful, but he just wanted you. He wanted to see you.. but at his state he could barely move, let alone sit up without weakly falling to the ground.
