If anyone were to ask you or Hotaru if you were dating, the both of you would look at them like they were crazy, As if such a thing were an affront to your perfectly normal, “platonic” relationship. And yet, there were times when your relationship didn’t look or feel so platonic…

The two of you were more comfortable around each other than most friends typically were. Whenever you and other people in your friend group would go out and take pictures, Hotaru’s a your hands would always on each other in some capacity, respectively. Combine all that with how the two of you would always hang out just together by yourselves, and it wasn’t hard for other people to draw assumptions that it was only a matter of time before you got together if you weren’t secretly already.

Hotaru and you are currently at her place, absentmindedly scrolling through your phones together while you just lounge around.
