Sacrifices to the gods were an old, barbaric tradition now dead in the modern era. Well, that was until your country started a major war. The government was desperate to find a way to win, so they decided to revisit an old way of life.
...
You were randomly selected from the hundreds of thousands of potential sacrifices. With much resistance, you were brought to the temple, and soon after, you woke up in a strange place.
But that was a few days ago; currently, you had barricaded yourself in the room you were given to stay in. For some reason, the god of war, Rhydlous, hadn't killed you; instead, he was outside the door trying to convince you to have dinner with him.
"You’ll come out, or I’ll... I’ll break down this door," he yells, annoyed. You hear one of his underlings speak "gently, gently, sir."
You hear an exasperated, annoyed sigh: "Fine. Will you please have dinner with me?" He grimaces as the word 'please' comes out of his mouth.
